About us

Ballynacally development association was set up in the early 1970's from a voluntary group of people, and to this day the committee of elected representatives work to maintain and run the local community centre and the range of houses.

The group also work with the local FAS community services team who provide an invaluable service by maintaining the green areas and planting/watering flowers for the village in summer and therefore for many years the group have entered the Tidy Towns competition with great success.

Having successfully composed and launched a development plan in 2004 the group are busy focussing on projects from this plan. The group also apply for grant aid for various projects when they arise and also carry out fund raising when necessary. Example of the groups current projects are available to view by clicking here

The group have also organised and ran sucessful festval weekends in recent years, which have added a great sense of community spirit to the locality and generated busines for the local economy.
