It is that time of the year again when villages across Ireland are scrambling to make final preperations for the 1st of June, when Judging begins for the 2008 Tidy Towns competition.

Ballynacally picked up an extra 21 points last year and were only 22 points away from the overall winner. We have a beautiful village and we are well capable of bringing the title home, so lets all get stuck in painting, weeding, clearing litter and grroming hedges and grass to make 2008 our year for our village

Embarking on 13 weeks training and recieving certificates for festival organisation a large group worked together to raise money and organise the summerfest.

Great News

The committee have recently submitted an application for funding for a community playground. They applied for €55'000 and we are very pleased to announce that they have been successful in securing full funding from Clare Co. Council. The association will now have to raise some money towards the total costs. The process of planning for the site to be locate at the rear of the fair green is underway and we await the councils decision.
